STEREOPLANE :: bio
band
It’s been a long road leading up to the release of “Everything You Don’t Have”, the debut release from West Coast pop-rock band Stereoplane. Recording began in the summer of 2007 with producers John Webster and Joe Hrechka at Vancouver’s legendary Mushroom Studios. By the time tracking had finished, nearly 2 years later in the spring of 2009, a true partnership had emerged between the band and the producers with tracks being recorded at various venues ranging from home studios on Vancouver Island to Hipposonic and Mushroom Studios in Vancouver.

In the meantime the band took advantage of their relationship with studio owner Rob Darch, and signed to his Hipposonic label, with Fontana North handling the distribution duties for Canada. They also continued playing shows at home and in Vancouver, finding themselves on marquee bills with international rock acts such as Marcy Playground and The Trews.
